American Red Cross

The American Red Cross always has needs for volunteers to act as digital advocates. Volunteers can help generate donations to the Red Cross while shopping for themselves online or by setting up online fundraisers. Volunteers can also help spread awareness by re-post their social media content.



Anti-Slavery Manuscripts

Help to turn the collection of handwritten correspondence between anti-slavery activists in the 19th century into texts that can be more easily read and researched by students, teachers, historians, and big data applications



Be My Eyes

A free mobile app with one main goal: to make the world more accessible for blind and low-vision people. The app connects blind and low-vision individuals with sighted volunteers from all over the world through a live video call.



Foster Florida

Foster Florida was created our of a passion to bring awareness about the need for strong families to step into foster care, and the need for them to be supported. For the ones neglected, the ones forgotten, the ones in need, we must step up. Foster Florida meet the needs of local foster families by providing four pillars of support: meals, prayer, financial support, and childcare.



Humanity Road

Volunteers for Humanity Road use the Internet and mobile communications technology to collect, verify, and route information online during disasters. They provide public safety information as well as directing the public to governmental and aid agencies that are assisting in the disaster.



Mastery Learning Hour

Mastery Learning Hour provides on-demand free math tutoring for K-12th grade children. It is led by volunteer students and STEM professionals trained in innovative teaching strategies to help kids love and excel in math.



National Map Corps (TNM Corps)

Part of the U.S. Department of the Interior, the Nation Maps Corps asks citizen volunteers to collect data on structures and use it to add new features, remove obsolete points, and correct data for The National Map database.



Sister City Program of Gainesville, Inc.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that coordinates nine sister city relationships for the City of Gainesville. They are in need of a social media/website manager, volunteer coordinator, and grant writer. All of these can be done virtually. TED Translators

A global community of volunteers who subtitle TED Talks and enable the inspiring ideas in them to crisscross languages and borders. Bring TED into your language.



The Trevor Project

An online, social networking community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth ages 13-24, and their friends and allies. Online volunteers monitor the TrevorSpace site to maintain a safe online space for young LGBTQ people. Training for online volunteers is provided quarterly.
