Chats

Our Dialogue Chats are 1-time events, usually done in partnership with another organization on campus, that facilitate briefer dialogues and are intended to expose more people to dialogue by allowing them an opportunity to engage in dialogue themselves.

Some of our past dialogues include:

  • "Coffee without Borders: The Power of Our Names" with The International Center
  • Student Leaders "Sense of Belonging & Self Knowing" Part 1 with The Office of Academic Support
  • "More than Suits" with Florida Women in Business and the Business College Council

Series

Our Dialogue Series’ are a 5-week experience where participants gather once a week for 2 hours to discuss a specific topic and dive deep into whatever channel the group takes as the dialogue moves forward.

Some of our past series topics include:

  • "Imposter Syndrome & Sense of Belonging at UF"
  • "Academic Competition on Mental and Emotional Health"
  • "Socioeconomic Status & Our Experiences at UF"

"...Wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to you and your staff for all of the time, effort, and energy poured into the Changemakers Dialogue Facilitator Training this weekend! My cup is full and it is all because of the wandering conversations and connections that transpired throughout the weekend. Thank you for creating a safe place for self-reflection and deep understanding. It was wonderful! I am so glad I participated. I am eager to 'pay it forward' and begin to facilitate much-needed dialogues across the UF community."
